Team Leaves Astierllo Today

I received this text from the mission team serving in Astierllo, Guatemala this week…

“My heart broke as we drove away from Astierllo today. I grew closer to the people there than any other place I have served. I had the opportunity to lead another young man to Christ today, we had an awesome week—Hallelujah!” ~David

David is a young pastor from Mill Port, AL. God called him to preach a few years ago while on his first international mission trip with us in Guatemala. What a blessing it is to see God working in this young pastor’s life.

Well… to God be the glory! These guys will visit some Mayan ruins tomorrow before heading back on Saturday.

Tomorrow, Donna and I return to the neurologist for the nerve conduction testing. You know what they say: “No pain, no gain!” Until then…

Thanks for your prayers and support, Lewis

Guatemala News

The mission team, serving is the village Astierllo, Guatemala, this week, is doing well. They reported that in spite of the rain their construction work is progressing. Tonight they had a great time of worship and a young man surrendered his life to Christ! To God be the glory!

Though they are sleeping on the floor and the facilities are a bit rustic they called today reporting how they set up a make shift outside shower.
Please continue to pray for this team as well as Edson, Maresa and Eduardo as they serve.

I spoke with Ely today and he is feeling a little better with the side effects of the chemo. Please continue to pray.

Lord bless you — Lewis
